Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is nestled in a very peaceful setting with a great big bed in the room. It was well decorated, but lacked hanging storage, which might not be ideal for longer stays.
The hotel offers a very comfortable stay with a super-king sized bed but the room layout may feel cramped. The service is friendly but not overly attentive. Its location is perfect for exploring Exmoor National Park but be aware that cell phone reception is limited. The dining experience is rich in choice but could use more variety in starters. Overall, a great choice to explore Exmoor with some minor drawbacks.
The hotel was clean and comfortable, despite the inconvenience of having to climb an extra flight of stairs. The service was good value for money, with a decent selection, but the unexpected closure of the evening meal due to the chef being sick was a letdown. The dining experience was delightful, especially the breakfast options that set us up nicely for a day of exploring. The facilities were satisfactory, contributing to a relaxing stay.
